Get the best GIFs to impress

As I am a big fan of GIFs (my friends can tell), I thought it would be nice to get an email every time there is a new GIF out so I could stay updated.
That's why, I have created an IFTTT connection between GIPFY and my email adress. IFTTT is very easy to understand, it is litteraly : IF THIS THEN THAT
You have to choose your "THIS", the condition, and your "THAT" the consequence.

Let's learn how to do this API in a few steps!


  1. First of all, you need to go to IFTTT's website and create your account

  2. Click on "New Applet"

  3. Click first on the "THIS". Now you have the choice between loads of apps, to do ours you will have to select "GIPHY"

  4. You need to choose your "THAT" now. Here, you have to select : "Send an email

  5. Last step is to turn your app on, click on "FINISH" and... you are DONE !



This is what you will get in the end, and you just have to switch it on !




This is the type of email that you will get thanks to the API you have created ! As you can see, you will receive a new email everytime there is a new trending GIF. The email is send by IFTTT via GIPHY.
